CEBU CITY, Philippines — Good news has greeted the Cebu City Hall employees on Monday, October 23, 2023.
Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama said on Monday during the flag raising ceremony at Plaza Sugbo grounds that the City Hall employees could receive their bonus.
After announcing the bonus, Rama then let Cebu City Vice Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia take over to give more details about this.
Garcia said that the employees could receive a Christmas bonus worth P35,000.
Later in a phone interview with CDN Digital, the Vice Mayor said that the employees could expect their bonus by early November, the latest would be in December before Christmas.
Garcia also directed the City Legal Officer Jerone Castillo, City Administrator Collin Rosell, and City Treasurer Mare Vae Reyes to fast-track the process of the bonus.
“Palihug ipa-paspas ang atoang processing niana,” Garcia said.

On Monday, the city hall also had an advance birthday celebration for Rama where different departments and offices in the city government surprised the mayor with birthday cakes.
Rama’s birthday is on October 28, Saturday.
