Guests of the three-day Suroy-Suroy Enchanting Camotes tour in north Cebu this May won’t have to worry about missing the much-awaited Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.
They can watch it for free while enjoying the white sand beach of Santiago Bay in San Francisco town.
Large video screens will be ready so visitors can watch the boxing match in real time, said Provincial Tourism Officer Mary Grace Paulino.
“Even if they’re in Camotes, they will not miss the Pacquiao fight. And in real time, not just a delayed telecast. We’ve arranged for pay-per-view,” said Paulino.
The Cebu provincial government’s second countryside tour this year rolls out on May 1, 2 and 3.

The package costs P5,000 to P11,000 depending on the resort a guest chooses to stay in. Tickets are available at the Suroy-Suroy booth at the ground floor of SM City.
The tour covering Poro, San Francisco and Tudela towns will bring guests to beaches, the popular Bukilat sea cave in Tudela and Lake Danao with themed dinners in different locations.
Day one will have an all-white dinner theme.
On the second night, guests will be treated to a Hawaiian-themed dinner.
The previous Camotes tour included the island town of Pilar, but this year, guests can view Pilar’s tourist attractions through an exhibit.
Lanterns will brighten the night sky on the last day of the tour.
Earlier in January, a Suroy-Suroy tourism caravan went to south Cebu for the Southern Heritage Trail.
The Capitol-organized tourism package was conceptualized in 2004 and was made permanent last year in an ordinance.
Four other packages are offered at different times of the year which allow visitors to experience the wealth of heritage, culture, nature spots and hospitality of Cebu’s countryside.
There’s the Northern Escapade that reaches Bantayan Island, the Southern Heritage Trail, the Urban Adventure which explores Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu Cities, and the Explore the Midwest tour to Toledo City and its neighboring towns.
