MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. approved administrative orders (AOs) that will grant government employees service recognition incentive (SRI) and gratuity pay for the fiscal year 2023.
AO Numbers 12 and 13 were signed on December 7, 2023 and posted on the Official Gazette on Tuesday, December 12.
Under AO Number 12, employees in the executive branch of government are entitled to a one-time SRI of P20,000, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said in a statement.
“Qualified for the PhP20,000 SRI are civilian personnel in national government agencies, including those in state universities and colleges (SUCs) and government-owned or controlled corporations (GOCCs), occupying regular, contractual or casual positions,” the statement read.
Also qualified for the SRI are uniformed personnel of the Bureau of Corrections, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Moreover, the AO also grants the same amount of SRI to “civilian personnel occupying regular, contractual or casual positions; personnel still in government service as of November 30, 2023; and personnel who rendered at least four months of satisfactory service.”
On the other hand, AO Number 13 grants a one-time gratuity pay of not more than P5,000 for each contract of service and job order employee.
PCO noted that employees must have rendered at least four months of satisfactory service performance, as specified in their contracts as of December 15.
Their contracts must also be effective as of the same date, it added.
Among the qualified recipients of the P5,000 gratuity pay are also those working in national government agencies, SUCs, GOCCs, and local water districts.
The complete list of personnel qualified for the SRI and one-time gratuity pay is posted on the Official Gazette.
Payments for both SRI and gratuity will be given not earlier than December 15.
