CEBU CITY, Philippines – The weather forecast in Cebu promises to be fair and pleasant in the next five days, said the chief of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa)-Mactan.
Engineer Al Quiblat, the chief of the Pagasa-Mactan told CDN Digital on Saturday, February 3, that the weather is expected with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and a chance of isolated passing rain showers due to the easterlies or potential thunderstorms.
Quiblat noted that a low pressure area (LPA) has been identified approximately 455 kilometers southwest of Zamboanga City, positioned outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
However, the weather authorities stated that the LPA poses a “low probability” of entering PAR and is not anticipated to intensify into a typhoon.

Cebu’s weather forecast ranges from 24 to 31°C temperatures, with a maximum heat index 33°C, and 30 to 40 kilometers per hour wind speed, leading to moderate coastal conditions.
As of press time, no warning signs are evident in Cebu.
Meanwhile, Pagasa reported that most parts of the country are expected to experience cloudy skies with rain, attributed to three prevailing weather systems.
According to Pagasa’s advisory, the northeast monsoon, locally referred to as amihan, will bring overcast skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon.
