Cebu-based Primary Homes, Inc. has set aside P250 million for its projects in other provinces in Central Visayas.
Ramero Espina, PHI vice president for sales and marketing, said they will build over 300 housing units for the low- to middle-income segments in Bohol.
Two projects, the Royal Palms Panglao and Colorado Homes in Baclayon, will be launched this year.
The company is also eyeing developments in Siquijor and in Negros Oriental, which is now part of Negros Island region.
“There is still not much developments in these areas similar to what we offer and we want to be the first to introduce the gated community concept that offers lifestyle amenities in other provinces in the region,” he said.
Espina said market studies are being conducted in Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental and Siquijor to determine the kind of projects that are suitable there.
The first phase of Royal Palms Panglao is a 2.5-hectare property that offers 100 housing units. Buyers may choose from five single-detached, Mediterranean-inspired units that are best sellers in the different subdivisions of Primary Homes in Cebu.
“Launched in 2013, Royal Palms Panglao is the biggest gated and exclusive subdivision in Bohol. It is the first development to offer lifestyle amenities like swimming pool, clubhouse and gym,” Espina said.
Some units of Royal Palms Panglao have already been completed and turned over to the homeowners.
“The interest of the Boholano market in the project even increased when they saw the finished units and the whole development nearing its completion stage. Buyers of the project are mostly overseas Filipino workers as well as foreigners with Filipino spouses,” said Espina.
Colorado Homes will be launched in Baclayon in the third or fourth quarter of this year, he added.
Primary Homes owns at least 10 hectares of land in Bohol.
