BURGLARY IN COMPOSTELA

MORE than P50,000 worth of equipment was stolen from the  stockroom of Compostela town in northern Cebu.

The theft was discovered by municipal worker Timoteo Calo, who found the stockroom door forcibly opened last Friday afternoon.

The stockroom in barangay Poblacion is located a few meters from the town police station.

Stolen were water pumps worth P31,000, pipes worth P7,600, assorted copper wires worth P2,000 and a light bulb worth P1,000.

In August last year, the town’s treasury  office was burglarized and a total of  P75,000 cash was stolen.
