AN eight-year-old girl from barangay Linao, Talisay City, Cebu is in need of financial assistance for her chemotherapy.

Samantha Branzuela was recently diagnosed with leukemia.

In 2013, she was also diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, another type of blood cancer.

She already finished the six-month chemotherapy sessions for lymphoma, when during her regular checkup and bone marrow test last March, the result showed that she has developed  leukemia.

Samantha needs to undergo another two years and 6 months of chemotherapy sessions for leukemia. She already started the chemotherapy  and responded well to the treatment.

However, Samantha’s parents won’t be able to sustain the entire treatment without help. Their resources have already been depleted by Samantha’s first cancer treatment and previous hospitalizations.

The family relies solely on her father’s earnings from selling vegetables at the Carbon market.

Thus, Samantha is asking kindhearted individuals to help her by donating for her chemotherapy.

Kindhearted individuals may coordinate with the Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko Foundation at the Cebu City Health building with contact numbers 2324706, 4129020 and (0917) 6257090 or deposit donations directly to UnionBank at account no. 00-112-000066-2. Please indicate the name of the patient in the deposit slip.
