SYLVESTER Millevo fired a personal season-high 34 points and Franco Angelo Cipriano posted a double-double game as the duo powered the Lexmark Stallions to an easy 82-68 win over the ePerformax Reds last Sunday in the Elite Classic action of the 11th City Sports Club-Cebu (CSC-C) E-League for Basketball at the CSC-C Gym.
Millevo, the first and only player to win the Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player (MVP) award altogether, was also active in the defensive end and came up with six steals to go with five assists and two rebounds.
Cipriano piled up 12 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, three blocked shots and two assist in a solid game that helped the Stallions snatch their second win in as many games.
Floyd Dean Singco scored 13 points and Robert Gilo had 12 in the Reds’ second loss in as many starts.
Also in Elite Classic, the Accenture Sharks posted their first win after two games by downing the struggling Convergys Blue, 58-56.
Julian Kyle Suerte tallied 15 points, Archie Brian Vincent Batua scored 13 and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Ildefonso Bulangis Jr. contributed 10 for the Sharks.
Oscar Villamor Jr. and Primo Paloma both finished with 15 points in the Blue Devils’ second defeat in as many games.
In the Evo League, the Supportsave Dragons leaned on the outstanding game of Niño Belande to stay unbeaten, pocketing a second straight victory with an 88-66 trashing of the Teletech Titans, while the Telstra-Teletech Boomerangs likewise recorded their own second straight triumph by dispatching the erstwhile unbeaten Results Spartans, 78-65.
Belande wound up with 35 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and four steals and was ably backed by Adrian Neilburn, who collected 15 points, 11 rebounds, three assist and a steal.
Kevin Pineda was the third Dragon in twin digits with 14 markers.
Jonas Concepcion topped the 0-3 (win-loss) Titans with 25 markers, while Jervis Pino Sildura chipped in 14 markers.
Sam Jordan Hermosa and Jaygard Vios led the way for the unbeaten Boomerangs with 15 points each, while Ivan Figuera pitched in 13.
The Results dropped to 2-1 despite the combined 48 points of Kevin Gialogo, Winston Pacaldo, Jade Seno and Jacklord Polgo.
