PRO-7 cop gets outstanding police officer’s award

A police official from Central Visayas is among the Country’s Outstanding Police Officers in Service (COPS) for 2015 recognized by the  Metrobank Foundation Inc.

Senior Supt. Valfrie Gacias Tabian,  deputy director for operations of the Police Regional Office Central Visayas (PRO-7), was selected as one of 10 policemen out  of 157 nominees, to  receive the award.

Tabian was the former chief of the Police Community Relations Office in Camp Crame before he was transferred to PRO-7 replacing Chief Supt. Conrado Capa.

The 10 awardees were selected by a multi-sectoral  board of judges led by Sandiganbayan Presiding Judge Amparo Cabotaje-Tang, Camarines Sur 3rd District Rep.  Leni Robredo, Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General Lilia de Lima, with representatives from the academe, business sector and from the church.
Awardees will each receive a gold medallion, a trophy and P400,000 cash prize. The award program is on its 13th year.

The 10 awardees will be presented and joined by other 2015 awardees of the Search for Outstanding Teachers (SOT) and The Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (TOPS) in a ceremony next month during the Metrobank’s 53rd anniversary.
