A Cebu graduate placed first in the 2015 Physician Licensure Examination whose results showed a double victory for the Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM).
Andrew Chua Tiu of CIM was the lone graduate from Cebu medical schools to land in the list of topnotchers.
His school CIM also ranked number one with the University of the Philippines-Manila in the top ten performing schools.
Tiu got a 90.67 percent rating among 2,491 passers.
Based on results released last night by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), 2,921 took the examination.

The results were released after three working days from the last day of examination held in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao.
All 127 examinees from CIM passed the exam or a 100 percent passing rate.
UP Manila had a similar achievement with all their 156 examinees.
Meanwhile, Cebu Doctors University College of Medicine landed number 10 with 63 passers out of 67 examinees.
