Assistant pharmacist Rosalia Udtujan was elated on receiving a token of appreciation from the management of Rose Pharmacy at the SM City Cebu branch last Friday.
Udtujan received the commendation after one of her customers, Bevz Nocete, praised her service and courtesy to customers in a Facebook post.
In her post, Nocete said Udtujan is a good example on how customer service should be like in the Philippines.
“I’m not used to it, but I am overwhelmed when I can put a smile in the faces of customers. I was just doing my normal routine of customer service, but I am thankful that people have recognized my efforts,” Udtujan said.
She credits her days as a working student at the Cebu Technological University-Argao for helping mold her attitude of giving 100 percent effort in her work.
“Learn to love your work because if you love your work you’ll learn to love the people around you,” Udtujan said.
As her family’s breadwinner, Udtujan said she learned to be independent at a young age.
“I got to school in the morning and work at night in a private learning center,” she said.
She said her seven siblings inspire her to work hard.
There are even times when people would go to the store and take pictures of her during work.
Sometimes people would notice her inside the jeepney and tell her that they adore her.
Udtujan said a national TV program wants to feature her but the management is still working on her schedule.
“Handling customers is my dream job and I wouldn’t trade this for the world,” she said.
