A Filipino-Japanese was arrested by police after he was accused of mauling his girlfriend in barangay Tungkil, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.
Joe Alfred Yajima, 32, is facing a string of charges after police recovered guns and packs of suspected shabu from his possession.
The arrest was made after Yajima’s girlfriend Ramsette Arians Lapot, 23, went to the Minglanilla Police Station last Thursday afternoon and complained that she was mauled by her boyfriend.
Police then rushed to the man’s house.
Chief Insp. Richard Gadingan said the man resisted arrest but was eventually subdued.
Police said they seized a .45 caliber pistol, a .22 revolver and two sachets believed to contain shabu from Yajima’s possession.
