Mandaue City Councilor Emmarie “Lollipop” Ouano-Dizon will run for mayor under One Cebu next year, possibly against Rep. Luigi Quisumbing of Cebu’s 6th district.
The Liberal Party (LP) in the sixth district were in a quandary earlier this year when both Dizon and Quisumbing hinted at running for mayor. At that time, Dizon was still allied with the LP.
She clarified during the One Cebu Gen. Assembly that she is still a member of the LP at the national level. Dizon said she is inclined at present to support LP standard bearer Mar Roxas.
But she said this might change should One Cebu already have a presidentiable in mind to endorse. Dizon’s running mate will be City Councilor Beethoven Andaya.
