A 51-year-old European national was found dead, hanging in an apparent suicide in barangay Puti-an, Bantayan Island, northern Cebu last Saturday.
The body of Millan Axmannova, who came from the Czech Republic, was found by his Filipina wife hanging with a rope tied around his neck outside a hut, a few meters from their house.
Hannah, the wife of Axmannova, told police that her husband, who had been having communication problems with his family in Czech Republic, had been depressed for quite a while.
Police were still investigating the Czech’s death.
