Villanueva focused on PP34 fight

Former IBF super flyweight title contender “King” Arthur Villanueva is dead set on avenging his controversial world title loss in the US as he prepares for his much awaited comeback fight on Nov. 28 in the Pinoy Pride 34: Back With A Vengeance at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
Villanueva, who will be joined by ALA stablemate Milan “El Metodico” Melindo in the fight card, said he has moved  on from his painful experience in the US, where he lost to Puerto Rican Mc Joe Arroyo via a controversial 10th-round technical decision.
“I’ve already moved on from the loss and now I am fully focused mentally and physically for my next fight,” said the 26-year-old Villanueva of Bacolod City. “There’s no other way but to move on and win and continue to pursue the world title.”
Villanueva is now on his final stages of training at the famed ALA Boxing Gym in Talamban, and has already had sparring session with fellow ALA Boxing Gym pugs Aj “Bazooka” Banal, who will also be featured in the upcoming fight card, and Virgel Vitor.
“I don’t feel pressured for this upcoming fight. I just train hard everyday to bring back my confidence,” said Villanueva.  “What’s important right now is to win this fight and land a world title shot.”
Villanueva has 27 wins with 14 knockouts and only has one defeat.
Aside from Melindo and Banal, former world title challenger Rocky “Road Warrior” Fuentes and unbeaten Kevin Jake Cataraja will also be seeing action in the fight card.
