CEBUANO triathlete John Philip Dueñas displayed his racing supremacy after he topped the Battle of Surigao Strait Duathlon yesterday in Surigao City.
Dueñas, who placed eight in the National Duathlon Championships (NDC) last September, dominated the race from start to finish.
His brother, Chobie Dueñas, who also reigned supreme in the junior mini-sprint elite in the NDC last month, finished second in the race.
John Philip said he is setting his eyes next on the Powerman Duathlon Pilipinas, which is also a qualifier for the World Duathlon Championships.
The Powerman Duathlon Pilipinas is slated Nov 14-15 in Balanga, Bataan. John Philip is still waiting for the green light from the Powerman Duathlon organizers.
