Four  persons were injured after a prime mover carrying a 25-ton boiler fell on its side past 1 a.m. yesterday in  barangay Umapad, Mandaue City.

A  rear tire fell into a crack on Plaridel Street  where a road concreting project is going on.

No pedestrians were injured since the street was empty at dawn.

The prime mover  tilted  to its right and fell, hitting   a  post of the Visayan Electric Company and causing a  power outage, said PO2 Modesto Lutchavez.

A utility post of a  telephone company was also damaged.

The driver, 50-year-old Saturnino Duazo, and two truck boys Jeffry Duazo, 26, and Noel Neri, 19, were brought to the hospital.

The truck boys were riding  on top of the vehicle to push away any low-hanging wires.

Traffic enforcer Noel Mendoza who was escorting the truck on a motorcycle suffered minor burns when  a live wire fell on him.
