Lim is best Cebuano finisher in Arizona

JOSE Merdino “Jomer” Lim wound up as the best Cebuano finisher in the Arizona Full Iron Man competition over the weekend in the USA.

Lim timed 11:56:10 to place 87th. He was off to a great start in the swim part of the competition, clocking 1:22:53, but was unable to maintain his momentum in the succeeding portions of the race.

He finished the bike leg in 5:32:25 and the run in 4:44:49.

Other Cebuano triathletes Meyrick Jacalan and Andrew Ong, who competed in the 40-44 age category, finished 250th and 314th places, respectively. The former crossed the finish line in 13:55:03 while the latter clocked 15:30:07.

Andrew’s sibling, Jane-Jane Ong, wound up 104th in her division with a respectable time of 16:14:26.

Gianluca, the father of renowned Cebuano actor Matteo Guidicelli, also put up a respectable performance in the race, finishing 155th with a time of 14:02:53. Cebuano doctor Alberto Solis placed at 147th clocking 12:37:05.
