NEGROS Oriental State University (Norsu) marks its 108th Founder’s Day celebration with “Mr. & Ms. Norsu 2015 Pageant” on December 1 at the Macias Sports Center in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
In a press launching held recently, the Federation of Student Government (FSG) presented the 12 pairs of candidates from the different colleges.
With a theme, “The position and role of university in mending societal setbacks,” the pageant this year requires each pair of candidates to choose an advocacy.
Each pair is given a 3-minute video presentation and a 3-minute speech to sell their advocacy.
The 12 candidates to compete for the Mr. & Ms. Norsu titles include from the Main Campus 1 and 2 and satellite campuses (Mabinay, Bais City, Guihulngan City, Siaton and Bayawan/Sta Catalina).
This year marks the first time in the pageant’s history that the coronation night will be held outside of the university campus.
Whoever gets the crown will have their chosen advocacy adapted by the FSG as one of the priority projects.
