C AND L Football Club clinched the title in the men’s open division of the First Estremos Clan Christmas Cup 7-aside football tournament at the East Visayan Academy Football Field yesterday.
C and L FC escaped San Roque Football Club (SRFC) in a thrilling shoot-out, 3-2, to win the crown.
SRFC took first runner-up honors while the University of Southern Philippines (USP) Alumni FC claimed third place.
USP Alumni FC also figured in a thrilling shootout between Birada FC, 3-2 (0-0), in determining the third-placer in the men’s open.
In the 38-above division, Echelon FC emerged as champions while Queen City United FC settled for second and Don Bosco Alumni FC finished at third.
Don Bosco Alumni FC lorded it over the 45-above division, KNF-SRFC finished second and CAFC claimed third place.
