THE slain police officer of Lapu-Lapu City was finally brought to his final resting place yesterday morning at a private cemetery in Cordova town.
PO3 Antonio Inihao Jr.’s family, relatives and friends were asking justice for his death as manifested by the shirts they wore during the burial at Cattleya Memorial Gardens.
Inihao, 36, left behind his wife Clarissa, 36, and four children.
Inihao’s colleagues from Marigondon Police Station, his classmates, Lapu-Lapu City government employees led by Mayor Paz Radaza and Lapu-Lapu City Police officials led by PSSupt. Arnel Amor Libed attended the burial.
A resolution from the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved last Feb. 26 was read and given to Inihao’s wife at the burial.
The resolution was filed to commend PO3 Antonio Inihao Jr., who was killed in line of duty while conducting a surveillance operation in Barangay Calawisan,
Lapu-Lapu City last Feb. 20, for excellence as a law enforcer by demonstrating dedication and commitment to service, and bravery, especially in the campaign against illegal drugs.
Supt. Libed, acting city police director of Lapu-Lapu, said they already have the cartographic sketch of the gunman and the driver of the getaway motorcycle.
He said they will complete first their investigation and identify the perpetrators before they file cases against them.
