A SECURITY guard was stabbed 33 times by a 34-year-old man after they got into an argument while having a drinking session in Barangay Kasambagan, Cebu City last Thursday night.

Killed on the spot was Jelly Gutana Pase, 21, a native of Tanjay, Negros Oriental.

The suspect, Jefferson Dosdos Cudiera, a resident of Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City, fled after the attack, police said.

Police said the two men were drinking when old grudges against each other were brought up.

The two men argued until they figured in a fistfight.

Police said one Santiago Gerodias intervened and pacified the two men.

Cudiera left but returned a few minutes later and without a word repeatedly stabbed the victim. Police said the victim was stabbed mostly in the back.

A nine-inch kitchen knife was recovered in the crime scene, police said.
