CEBUANOS are in for an adrenaline-pumping action as race proper of the first-ever Drag Wars 2016 series gets underway today at the back of the Sugbu Building in the South Road Properties (SRP).
Around 100 drag racers coming from Bacolod City, Cagayan De Oro, Davao and Dumaguete will compete in four different classes namely the pro class, expert class, sportsman class and the hot street class.
According to organizer Michael Francis Mercado, the top eight drivers with the best time will be crowned winners in their respective classes.
The practice race and classification race were held yesterday.
The entire stretch of the drag racing competition is a quarter mile with a one kilometer breaking point.
The race is organized by Cebu Horsepower Events and Promotions of CHEP and PBA Publishing.
The series will have three-legs this year.
Noted drivers like Cebuano Vios cup champion Lord Seno, Jed Neri, Glenn Borromeo, Vincent Navales and Jongky King will among those who will see action.
The race proper will start at 8 a.m.
