USC still struggling in Tabunok

FOR THE second night in a row, the defending Cesafi champions University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors fell prey to yet another hungry squad, this time getting beaten by Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats, 77-86, in the 1st Barangay Tabunok Inter-Collegiate Basketball League on Sunday night at the Tabunok Sports Complex in Talisay City.

Just a night after their  shocking loss to the lowly University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers, 86-87, USC felt the wrath of the Wildcats, who were led by undersized yet high-scoring forward Joshua dela Cerna who tallied 31 points.

Karl Lucena added 11 while new recruit James Ferraren, formerly of USPF and the University of the Visayas, continued to make his case for a spot in the roster with 10 points across his name.

In the Seniors’ Division, Cansojong edged out Bahadas, 69-66.
