ANIMAL feeds producer Pilmico gathered cockfighting and gamefowl-breeding afficionados from all over the country during the weekend to raise funds to support youth development in Talisay City.

The Salto Breeders’ Benefit Sabong was held last March 20 at the Aznar Talisay Tourist Sports Complex in Talisay City, Cebu.

Salto is the gamefowl feeds brand of Pilmico.

Seventy percent of the derby proceeds were utilized for the rehabilitation of classroom walls and other school fixtures, service learning activities and purchase of computer sets and school supplies for the students of Cadulawan Elementary School.

Over 600 pupils from grades 1-6 benefited from the project.

“This activity aims to promote and support advocacies that are geared towards youth development. We hope that the service learning activities and the computer sets and refurbished school equipment we’ve provided will go a long way and inspire the students to learn more,” said Pilmico Feeds Vice President for Sales and Sales Support Norie Bermudez.
