Lolypop’s lawyers say she didn’t own property

The lawyers of Mandaue City mayoral candidate Emmarie “Lolypop” Ouano-Dizon told reporters that she didn’t own the property which is the subject in the case filed by Lito Ferrater and Allan Bisquera against her at the Ombudsman-Visayas last Wednesday.

Lito Ferrater and Allan Bisquera filed a case against Ouano-Dizon last Wednesday asking the Ombudsman-Visayas to investigate the councilor for failing to declare all her properties in her 2012 SALN or Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth.

But Ouano-Dizon’s lawyer Gloria Lastimosa-Dalawampu said the property was owned by Ouano-Dizon’s husband.

Dalawampu said the property was acquired by Ouano-Dizon’s husband before they were married and cannot be considered as her property.

Atty. Gonzalo Malig-on Jr. said the case filed against Ouano-Dizon is politically motivated.
