SWIMMERS from Region 7 continued to display their dominance in uncharted waters, hauling medals in the second day of the Private Schools Athletic Association (Prisaa) National Meet yesterday in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The Prisaa-7 tankers snared six gold medals, four silvers, and one bronze in the second day of the week-long multi-sporting meet for private schools.
The team now has a total of 14 golds, 13 silvers, and four bronzes in the swimming event.
University of San Carlos’ (USC) Keith Ashley Ocampo topped the 1,500-meter freestyle event by clocking 19 minutes and 14 seconds while fellow Warrior Razel Cabajar also triumphed in the women’s 100m butterfly by clocking 0:01:12.
USC’s Ruliben Deligero (0:02:49) also reigned in the men’s 100m breaststroke while John Michaelson Beltran (0:00:59) won the men’s 100m freestyle and Bryan Inamarga (0:00:29) captured the 50m backstroke gold medal.
University of Cebu’s pride Michael Ichiro Kong captured his third gold medal in the national meet finishing with an elapsed time of one minute and three seconds in the 100m butterfly.
In Taekwondo, Prisaa-7 produced one gold courtesy of USC’s Moses Buleser in the poomsae individual C event.
