A MOTORCYCLE-for-hire (habal-habal) driver was shot dead by a lone gunman in Barangay Mantalongon, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.
Jeffrey Enlarino, 23, single, of Barangay Mantalongon, died instantly after he was shot in the head.
PO2 Reynaldo Vidas of Dalaguete police station, said the incident happened at around 12 noon last Monday.
The victim was driving his motorcycle toward home when the suspect, identified as Gilbert Cordova, suddenly blocked his path and shot him twice in the head. The assailant fled.
Vidas said they recovered two small sachets containing illegal substance believed to be shabu and some drug paraphernalia from the victim.
