LESS THAN two months since staging the Badminton For A Cause, the Sunday Badminton Group (SBG) is back with its Summer Tournament slated April 16 at the Metro Sports Badminton Center in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.
The different categories are women’s doubles Class D, E and F; men’s doubles Class D, E, F and G; and mixed doubles Class D, E, F and G.
Level champions will receive P2,000 cash plus medals while the runners-up will get P1,000 and medals.
Registration fee is pegged at P400 for the first entry (inclusive of packed dinner) and 300 for the second/third entry.
Aiming for a higher turnout this time, SBG has partnered with Globe Telecom, Living Fit Wellness Studio and Hub, Hotel Stella, and Skin Perfection Body Contouring and Spa to provide tourney participants with added perks during the event such as free Wi-fi access so players can post real time updates and photos of their matches, product sampling, raffle prizes for lucky participants and more freebies at the available sponsors’ booths.
Also backing up the SBG Summer Tournament are the Minor Sponsors — Lei Pepito of New Zealand and Mariam Acompañado; donors Marsha Malagar, Nash Olivar Saycon, Casilda’s Bakeshop, Albert Surplus, Fireballs Badminton Group, Bernard Lopez, Vice Mayor Edgar Labella, Atty. Alvin Garcia, Jun Alcover and Lolypop Ouano-Dizon.
