Worker stabbed to death

A 40-year-old construction worker was stabbed to death in Barangay Lower Calajo-an, Minglanilla town in southern Cebu last Thursday morning.

Police said the victim identified as Ranelio Pencirga was reportedly stabbed multiple times by his common-law partner’s 36-year-old ex-boyfriend Alfredo Cabanca at past midnight.

They recovered a blood soaked 13-inch long knife from the crime scene.

SPO1 Romeo Barde of Minglanilla Police said Cabanca has had a history of battery and shoplifting.

He added that Cabanca is still on the loose.
