TOP PROFESSIONAL basketball trainer Matthew Conboy will be aiming to make an impact as he heads the Growee Elite Basketball Skills Camp which kicks off on April 23 at two venues—the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) gym in Lahug and the Ateneo de Cebu old campus along Mango Avenue.

Conboy, the founder and the man behind Pure Advantage Basketball Training, is already in town and gamely talked to members of Cebu media about the upcoming camp, where he is being joined by U-Hoops CEO and former NBA D-League player Demarcus Weeks, and local coaches Felix Belano, Rommel Rasmo and Albert Alocillo.

When asked how the Growee camp would differ from the bushels of local basketball camps that are currently being run in Cebu, Conboy shared that he plans to make an indelible impact on the players that he will handle.

“We want relationships that will last, programs that will last and make an impact, both in the short term and the long term. The camp will be a progressive one. There will be no standing around,” Conboy said.

The camp is accepting players aged five to 18. Interested participants who wish to know more may call these numbers: 0927-954-7926 / 0922-846-9755.
