Moralde stakes unbeaten record

JOHN Vincent “Mulawin” Moralde, the current World Boxing Federation (WBF) International featherweight champion, will put his unbeaten record on the line when he trades leathers with Jimmy “Xcon Tirador” Aducal in the main supporting fight of the Brawl at the Mall: Undefeated on April 30 at the Makati Square Cinema in Makati City.

The two fighters will duke it out in a 10-round non-title fight, said youthful promoter Jim Claude Manangquil, Chief Executive Officer of the General Santos City-based Sanman Promotions.

The 21-year-old Moralde, a native of Davao City, has 17 victories spiked by seven knockout wins. He is coming off a unanimous decision win over Cebuano Anthony Sabalde last February 13 at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in General Santos.

“This would be another strong challenge for John Vincent since Aducal is not a pushover,” said Manangquil. “We want to keep John Vincent active to prepare him for bigger fights this year.”

“I have trained hard for this fight. I respect my opponent as a fighter but I will be victorious come April 30,” said the 5-foot-7 Moralde.

“If there is an opportunity for a knockout I will do it,” Moralde added.

The 25-year-old southpaw Aducal is a former interim Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super-flyweight champion.

Aducal is native of Samar and fights under the Xcon Stable in Mandaluyong City.

The main event will stake the vacant WBF International bantamweight crown pitting  undefeated fighters “Magic” Mike Plania (9W-0L-0D-4KOs) of General Santos City and Lorence Rosas of Puerto Princesa (5W-0L-2D-2KOs).
