Inayawan wins Rampada dance tilt

THE Inayawan Dance Company and Barangay Babag emerged as champions in the just-concluded Rampada Dance Contest of Lapu-Lapu City yesterday.

The Inayawan Dance Company of Cebu City won the P250,000 top prize and a trophy in the open category.

Bailes de Cordova and Nemesian Dance Theater won 1st and second runners-up, taking the P200,000 and P150,000 cash prizes respectively plus trophies.

In the barangay category, five contingents were selected as winners with Barangay Babag winning the competition and the P200,000 top cash prize.

In second place was Barangay Mactan which won P150,000 and Barangay Buaya copped third place and the P100,000 cash prize.
Barangay Ibo and Barangay Pusok won fourth and fifth place respectively.

The Rampada Dance Contest was on its fifth year and was one of the highlights of the three-day Kadaugan Street Party, part of the week-long celebration of the Kadaugan sa Mactan.

Last Saturday, 17-year-old Richelle Ann Malunhao won the Reyna Bulakna pageant.

Malunhao, a second year college student of Cebu Technological University, won the P30,000 cash prize and trophy.
