A 39-year old construction worker was found dead on Monday morning, hanging inside one of the row houses that were being constructed in Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The victim was identified as Randy Surigao, a native of Calapi, Daan Bantayan town in northern Cebu and a stay-in worker at Aldea Subdivision in Sitio Timpolok, Barangay Gun-ob.

His body was found by a fellow worker, Anthony Abueva, about 6 a.m. inside the toilet of the row house.

One end of the electric wire was tied around Surigao’s neck and the other end, tied to the window grills.

Co-workers, however, did not know if Surigao had problems because he was a quiet man who kept to himself.

PO2 Jerson Alparito of Lapu-Lapu polcie said that based on their initial investigation, there was no sign of foul play.

Still, he added an autopsy would be conducted on the body.###
