PRODUCTS of the DH25 Basketball Camp finally get the chance to strut their wares when the DH25 Pocket Tournament blasts off on May 27 at the Capitol Parish Gym in Cebu City.
The tournament will showcase the students of last year’s DH25 Basketball Camp that was spearheaded by Cebuano Hotshot Dondon Hontiveros, the veteran shooter of the Alaska Aces.
The camp attracted at least 80 aspiring basketball players.
“We will have a guest team from Bacolod and another from Bukidnon where we also conducted a basketball clinic,” Hontiveros told Cebu Daily News.
The tournament is open to players aged 13 to 18. Players must have joined any of the DH25 Basketball Camp for them to be able to join. Players are also advised to submit a medical certificate.
The tournament will run until June 1 and Hontiveros will be present in every game.
“On May 27, we will have the leveling so we can divide the players into two groups. Tournament proper will start on May 28,” added Hontiveros.
Hontiveros said special prizes await the winners.
