Former SWU belle helps Negros best Cebu pair

FORMER Southwestern University (SWU) Lady Cobras Floremel Rodriguez and her partner Jennifer Cosas helped push Team Negros to the penultimate round after trampling Team Cebu’s Apple Eve Saraum and Jusabelle Brillo, 21-15, 21-13, in the Beach Volleyball Republic National Championships yesterday at the SM by the Sands inside the Mall of Asia Complex.

The 19-year-old Rodriguez, the reigning Cesafi women’s volleyball MVP who will be transferring to the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, and her partner Cosas put up a dominating performance to make it to the next round.
