A 24-year-old electrician from Toledo City, who was working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was electrocuted inside an oil refinery last May 26.
Franklien Billesta of Don Andres Soriano, Toledo City, was found by his co-workers lying on the floor holding a live wire in one section of the building where he was installing a power supply in Riyadh.
Felix Billesta, the victim’s father, said he was informed of his son’s death last Friday.
Felix said it also took quite a while to retrieve the body because the main power supply which had to be turned off was far from where they were working.
The victim left behind a 21-year-old wife, and two daughters, who are one years old and 1 month old.
Felix said his son had a one year and a half contract to work with Shungchang and Abdulllah Alskaikh contracting company and left for Saudi Arabia last September 2015.
Felix has already sought the assistance of the Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA) and called on President-elect Rodrigo Duterte to help for the speedy return of the body of their son to the country.
Felix said he believed that there was no foul play in the death of his son and that what happened was an accident.
