THE live-in partner of Mandaue’s most wanted drug personality and her cohort were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the City Intelligence Branch (CIB) of Mandaue City Police Office led by Senior Insp. Janelito Marquez in Sitio Superior, Barangay Looc, Mandaue City last Sunday at around 10 p.m.
Suspects Amie Rose Galabo, 30, and Miralyn Tan, 23, yielded to the police P118,000 worth of alleged shabu, drug paraphernalia and a notebook containing list of collectibles worth nearly P1 million.
Galabo is one of the live-in partners of Pablo Loberanes, who earlier surrendered to the police for fear that he might be killed in one of police operations targeting drug lords.
Galabo refused being called a big-time drug pusher by Marquez because of her collectibles worth almost P1 million, but rather said she was just a small-time drug pusher.
Tan, a breastfeeding mother of an 8-month-old child, denied involvement in illegal drug activity, but admitted being an errand girl of Galabo.
In Barangay Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City, seven persons were arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation last Sunday morning.
City policemen coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in conducting the buy-bust operation against drug suspect Walter Boniel, 34, of Sitio Tigcahon, Barangay Bangkal, after receiving an information from a concerned citizen about the illegal drug activity in the area involving Boniel, Senior Insp. Wayne Magbanua, chief of Pusok Police Station, said.
Boniel was tagged by the police as level 1 drug pusher in the area.
Police also arrested six other persons caught inhaling alleged shabu inside Boniel’s house around 2 a.m. last Sunday.
They are Juan Cosep Jr., 24, of said place; Reymund Saludaga, 28, of Barangay Punta Engaño; Louir Jupia, 30, of Sitio Kalubihan, Barangay Pajac; Michael Vincent Inot, 22, of Barangay Bankal; and Regie Olado, 28, and Mahid Mamaw Ongpin, 22, of Barangay Buaya.
Police confiscated from Boniel’s house several packs of alleged shabu worth P236,000, a weighing scale, drug paraphernalia, P900 cash, P200 buy-bust money and an unlicensed .45 caliber pistol with silencer and three bullets.
