RUSSIAN national Vladimir Mitrofanov was arrested by police after mauling his wife Irina Ignateva, who is also a Russian, on Wednesday afternoon.
Mitrofanov allegedly was not satisfied with the way her wife arranged the room at their home in Skyview Village, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City, prompting him to slam Ignateva’s head against the wall and hit her in other parts of the body.
Ignateva escaped by riding a motorcycle and proceeded towards the Inayawan Barangay Hall. She was then advised to go to the Pardo Police Station.
Ignateva, accompanied by the Pardo policemen, went back to their house and arrested Mitrofanov.
Mitrofanov was detained at the Pardo Police Station, while Ignateva underwent counseling at the Women’s Desk of Pardo Police Station. /UP Cebu Intern Patrick Byron G. Gattoc
