The complete fight card of the Pinoy Pride 37: Fists of the Future was officially bared by ALA Promotions International.
Spearheading the fight card, which is scheduled on July 9 at the San Mateo Events Center in San Mateo, California, USA, will be the famed Pagara brothers of the ALA Boxing Gym. Both will be going up against battle-hardened opponents.
The younger Pagara, “Prince” Albert, the reigning WBO Inter-continental super bantamweight champion will defend his title against Mexican slugger Cesar Juarez in the main event. Their fight will be for 12 rounds.
Albert Pagara holds an unbeaten record of 26 wins with 18 knockouts while Juarez, who fought five-division world champion Nonito Donaire Jr. last year for the WBO super bantamweight world title, has a record 17-5-0 (win-loss-draw) with 13 knockouts.
The 28-year-old Jason Pagara (38-2-0, 23KOs), the number one contender in WBO’s super lightweight division, will be fighting another Mexican in Abraham “Swift” Alvarez (21-9-1, 10KOs) in the co-main event scheduled for 10 rounds.
In the undercard, Mauricio Zavaleta (2-2-0, 2KOs) of San Leandro, California will go up against fellow American Darren Mallard (3-1-1) of Sacramento, California; undefeated Hector Valdez (6-0-0, 5KOs) of Dallas, Texas will fight Michigan’s Vincent Jennings (5-1-1, 4KOs); Israel Hernandez (11-2-1, 11KOs) of San Leandro, California faces Michael Flores (10-8-2, 4KOs) of Los Angeles; while Lennard Davis IV of Oakland trades punches with David Figueroa of Oxnard City, California.
