7 arrested in Lapu for ‘drug peddling’

SEVEN persons were nabbed in Lapu-Lapu City for allegedly selling illegal drugs.

Just last Thursday at 11 p.m., four persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation at the Sacred Heart Village in Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.

Chief Insp. Mark Gifter Sucalit, chief of City Intelligence Branch of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, along with his men confiscated six medium-sized packs and 21 small sachets of suspected shabu weighing 11.47 grams with an estimated value of P135,346; P700 cash believed to be proceeds of selling drugs and drug paraphernalia from suspects Francisco Booc, Demetrio Banzon, Arnel Macabodbod and Erwin Pepito, all of legal age.

The four suspects are now detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police headquarters pending the filing of charges against them.

Last Wednesday afternoon, three persons were arrested by the same operatives in Barangay Pajac, which resulted to the confiscation of alleged shabu worth P133,340 from suspects Oscar Valiente, Gilbert Amit and Adrian Aparri, all residents of Sitio Abuno, Barangay Pajac.
