AFTER honing his skills in National University’s (NU) Team B, prolific Cebuano guard Rendell Senining has decided to take his talents to Far Eastern University (FEU), where he hopes to resuscitate a stalled collegiate career.
Senining, a wily 5-foot-8 guard who helped the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles to the Cesafi juniors title in 2012, has been playing for the Bulldogs in different tournaments since 2013. However, after spending three years on NU’s Team B, Senining felt that his talents would be best utilized at the camp of the reigning UAAP champions, where he will be competing for a spot on the team for next season.
From the onset, FEU head coach Nash Racela is hopeful that the Cebuano speedster can step up to the plate and eventually claim a spot on the varsity squad for next year. Incidentally, the Tamaraws will be losing two Cesafi standouts from the team next season—former Southwestern University guard Monbert Arong and ex-Cebu Eastern College big man Raymar Jose.
“Rendell (Senining) comes from a good basketball program, and we hope with his experience and discipline, he could give positive contributions,” Racela told Cebu Daily News.
