Carcar City Mayor Nicepuro Apura was recently appointed by the League of Cities of the Philippines to head the Sustainable Development Goals as its focal mayor.
A photo of Apura holding the certification of his appointment was posted on social media by his information officer Candice Acuña.
A photographed copy of the certification was sent to the media on late Monday morning.
The certification of his appointment was signed by LCP President and Angeles City Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan and released last July 22.
His appointment automatically makes him an ex-officio member of the National Executive Board for 2016-2019.
