The PLDT SME Nation kicked off the second leg of its Big Talks conference series as part of their efforts to empower the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cebu at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel.
In a press conference, Mitch Locsin, PLDT SMart SME Nation’s Vice President and
Head, told the press that this is one of their initiatives to communicate with their customers.
“Gone are the days when we just present the product,” Locsin said.
Now on its ninth year, PLDT SME Nation is servicing 200 000 customers to date.
Initially launched in 2010 it was called The Bossings then replaced with #BeTheBoss.
Locsin said they envision this project to also include Mindanao in the future. As of now, they have already partnered with Cebu and Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
“We want the MSMEs to know how to bring their businesses into digital. As of now, businesses have this misconception that if they have a Facebook page, it already constitutes as a digital presence,” he said.
