THE Coalition for Better Education is sponsoring a Singapore Math seminar workshop for parents and teachers entitled “21st Century Power Learning and Teaching Tools for Parents and Teachers.”
The seminar, set for Oct. 3 at the Center for Teacher’s Excellence (CEFTEX) in Cebu Normal University, will discuss how Singapore Math can develop students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Teacher Joanne Tabora-Sison, co-founder and directress of Mathemagis, will be the speaker. Mathemagis is an after-school enrichment center in Manila that’s using the Math approach approved by the Ministry of Education in Singapore.
