CEBU’S basketball scene is expected to get another shot in the arm with the launching of the Urban Basketball League Squad Cup 2016 on August 20 at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
Organized by former Southwestern University guard and now budding head coach Jabby Bautista along with Roberto Acha, Jhundale Singuran and Jan Ybañez, the league aspires to provide Cebuanos with another avenue to showcase their basketball skills.
The initial season has attracted 20 teams. These are Canizares Architects, Aspa, Renegades, Mighty Bee, Sneaks Basketball, Kaiju, Du30, RNK Builders, Titans, Royal Brothers, Silogan ni Gian, Chateau de Busay, Oasis, VECO, Hotshots, BS Simbajon Construction, Rare Kicks Cebu, Alpine, Princess and the LC Boys.
