Pescos rules gullas run

AFTER dominating the men’s 21-kilometer qualifying race of the 40th National Milo Marathon-Cebu Leg, Rafael Pescos continued his winning ways as he topped the 10k race of the Gullas Run yesterday in Talisay City.

Pescos crossed the finish line at the Talisay City Hall grounds in 34 minutes and seven seconds to win the men’s title and the P4,000 purse.

Sultan Kudarat’s Ruffa Sorongon, also the champion of the women’s 21k crown of the Milo Marathon-Cebu Leg, topped the distaff side with a time of 46:10.

Runners up in the men’s race were Jason Padayao (34:10) and Michael Largo (34:11). In the women’s race, Keisha Mae Delechos (46:11) and Rosemarie Tumamak (47:35) were the runners up.

Winners in the 5k race were Prince Joey Lee and Karen Andrea Manayon. Niño Lumontad and Grace Araw-araw claimed the top spots in the 5k LGU division.

Wendel Andrin and Charise Claire Encarnacion, meanwhile, finished first in the 3k open category while John Philip Kong and Moira Frances Erediano dominated the 3k Talisaynon kids category.
