McDo Stripes Run launched

The McDonald’s Stripes Run: Run for Reading was unveiled in a press conference yesterday at the Cebu IT Park branch of the fastfood chain.

Around 2,000 runners are expected to join the run slated December 3 starting at the Garden Bloc of the Cebu IT Park.

The running event will have a 1k kiddies stripes, young stripes 3k, 3k stripes, 3k family stripes, 5k stripes and 10k stripes categories.

Cash prizes and McDonald’s gift certificates are up for grabs for the top three male and female runners in each category.

George Tongol, McDonald’s Philippines Local Store Marketing Coordinator, said interested participants can visit any McDonalds branch in Cebu to register.

“This is the first time that the Mcdonalds Stripes Run that will be held here in Cebu and we are very excited for this. Mcdonalds Stripes Run have grown big since its first staging in Manila and we believe that this will also be successful here in Cebu,” said Tongol.

Registration fee ranges from P300 to P1,500.
