AFTER absorbing a bitter loss in the singles play the other day, Cebuano netter Arthur Craig Pantino was all business yesterday as he moved into the semifinal round of the PSC-PHINMA International Junior Tennis Championships doubles tournament at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.
The former University of San Carlos (USC) ace joined forces with Thailand’s Natt Kunsuwan in dominating the tandem of Filipino netter Stephan Lhuillier and Hong Kong’s Alester Magalit, 6-2, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.
It can be recalled that the third-ranked Pantino suffered a shocking, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 loss to unranked Keisuke Saitoh of Japan in singles play last Thursday.
The 16-year old Pantino hopes to exact revenge on Saitoh today when he and Kunsuwan battle the Japanese and his compatriot, Tomoya Ikeda in one of two semifinal matches today.
