CONFESSED drug lord Franz Sabalones will ask the National Bureau of Investigation to monitor all his activities to prove that he is no longer in the illegal drugs trade.

Sabalones made this request through his lawyer, Louie Arma, after his name was dragged by the police in a number of illegal drug operations in San Fernando town and other municipalities in Cebu.

Arma and Sabalones were supposed to meet with NBI-7 Director Patricio Bernales yesterday but this did not push through because the NBI chief was not available.

Arma said that they would look forward to meeting the NBI regional director so that they could tell him their request.

Sabalones voluntarily surrendered to Police Director Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa in Camp Crame last year after he was linked to the illegal drugs trade.
However, he was released from the custody because there was no case filed against him.

But, the Department of Justice was still investigating his alleged involvement in the illegal drugs trade.
